On march 26, Zhang Yaping, vice president of Chinese Academy of Science，and Wu Jianguo,director of Bureau of Facility Support and Budget, investigated the new campus construction of Chengdu Branch .their primary purpose is to achieve a detailed understanding of the planing scheme. Wang Xueding,secretary of the CPC Committee and executive vice president of Chengdu Branch ,Chen Feng,vice president of Chengdu Branch also attended the symposium. 

　　Chen Feng introduced the background information、location、environment and construction plans of the new campus. He said ,Huaxiba campus has no space for future development and which restricts the innovation and development of the Chengdu branch. Thus the desire to build a new campus is urgent. However there are many issues during the planning process,such as ,the ideas and goals of each department are not unified, the government compensation takes a long time to purchase and store the old campus. He hopes that the Bureau of Facility Support and Budget can fully support this project and include it into the CAS 13th  five-year plan. 

　　All participants agreed that the construction of the new campus is conducive to long-term development for the Chengdu branch. And they also suggested that the new campus construction should be managed by the the Chengdu Branch. 

　　Wu Jianguo said, the Bureau of Facility Support and Budget will strive to promote the new campus construction . He hopes that the new campus construction plan should be followed step by step and avoid the waste of resources. 

　　Zhang Yaping pointed out that this relocation opportunity is encouraging, and each department should be fully aware of the importance of this opportunity,to enhance the sense of responsibility.He stressed that the plan should be realistic and feasible, seeking development based on the existing needs. Zhang Yaping hopes that the Chengdu Branch can create effective policies to achieve more support from Chinese Academy of Science、Sichuan Provincial Government and Chengdu Municipal Government. 

　　Wang Xueding indicated that the Chengdu Branch will earnestly implement the spirit of the meeting and intensify cooperation with provincial and municipal governments to gain local policy support. He also hopes that the Bureau of Facility Support and Budget will strengthen coordination between departments and assist in the construction of the new campus.
